Sacred Heart Cathedral will get another shot at a CIF-Central Coast Section Division III title, as Monte Vista Christian, which defeated the Fightin’ Irish in the CCS quarterfinals, was forced to forfeit the victory.

Monte Vista used a pitcher against the Irish that was over the weekly allotment for innings pitched, which forced the Mustangs to vacate the win. Monte Vista was supposed to play Menlo on Tuesday.

Sacred Heart Cathedral will play at third seeded Menlo in the semifinal round today at 4 p.m.
