SanFranPreps.com Video Profile: Galileo senior running back Qunicy Nelson

Video by Jeremy Balan

Early in the season, there was no doubt who the best player in the Academic Athletic Association was.

Galileo senior running back Quincy Nelson had led the Lions to a 4-0 league record, but a knee injury in their game against Marshall sidelined Nelson for the rest of the season. The Lions would go 1-3 the rest of the way, losing to eventual champion Washington in the first round of the AAA playoffs.

Even though he only played 8 of a possible 13 games, Nelson still led the AAA in rushing with 1,602 yards and finished second in the league in rushing touchdowns with 21.
