Fencing: Chen and Lowell score third consecutive AAA championships

On his way to his third-consecutive Academic Athletic Association individual fencing title, Lowell’s Alex Cheng also led Lowell to its third consecutive boys and girls team title on Saturday at Washington High School.

With a total point total of 51.5, the Cardinals wrapped up an undefeated season and beat runner up Convent/Stuart Hall by a combined 18.5 points.

AAA/CIF-San Francisco Section Fencing Finals

Team Champion: Lowell – 51.5 points
Team Runner-up: Convent/Stuart Hall – 30 points

Gold – Alex Cheng, Lowell
Silver – Joseph Lam, Stuart Hall
Bronze – Walter Pan, Lowell

Girls Medalists
Gold – Eliza Klyce, Convent
Silver – Stefani Kahookele, Lowell
Bronze – Amanda Zerbe, University

    I just wanna say as a fencer going into this tournament without any point and still being able to top 8 feels freaking awesome. I’m repping lowell lets go cacks… i mean cards!!!!
