Games of the day – St. Ignatius vs. Bellarmine boys volleyball: The Wildcats are seeking their first WCAL boys volleyball championship in school history, but will face the top-seeded Bells, who haven’t dropped a game in three matches against St. Ignatius this season. Balboa vs. Lowell baseball: Lowell swept the season series between the two teams, but the Bucs will look to upset the Cardinals, seeking their first AAA title since 1991. Washington vs. Lincoln baseball: The Eagles will look to continue their undefeated run in the AAA, but if anyone knows how perilous the playoffs can be, it’s them. As the fourth seed last season, the Eagles upset top-seeded Lowell.

  1. I see you Bal, tearing it up against Lowell. I’m predicting an upset over Wash next week..

    • I’m going to have to agree with you on this. Bal’s bats are hot and may not stop any time soon!

What’s up with the Lowell playoff funk over the past couple of years? Tough luck Cards.

  3. I guess that blow out game against mission was Bals ultimate batting practice

Bellarmine lost to St. Ignatius in five. Game 5 was 15-12 loss….

  5. to be honest, we choked today, i feel for my teamates and it sucks that we lost in semis, again…..but i think its time for a coaching change at lowell. a new head coach is in order, the program needs an overhaul….at this point choking this deep into playoffs is unacceptable and is only a result of poor preparation from our coaching staff…..

    • That is blasphemy.

Sometimes you just have to admit that you were outplayed

    • I don’t think coaches are responsible for all those infield pop ups I saw.

      • Sometimes you got to admit that the other team outplayed you. Balboa hit your ace and you couldn’t hit Balboas pitching. Nothing Donahue could do there
