Game of the day – University vs. Marin Academy softball: The top-seeded Red Devils (16-3) only lost one game in BCL West play this year, and it came to the Wildcats (12-4). University evened the score in their two next regular-season meetings, but both games were close with scores of 10-8 and 3-2.

Why is the Wash-Oakland Tech game under protest?
The protest was denied by the state rules interpreter (which I didn’t even know existed)…
Oakland Tech tried to insert its DH as a fielder, but that would have required the pitcher to be removed… The mistake was caught, and Oakland Tech was allowed to correct the mistake… Wash protested, but it was denied because a pitch hadn’t been thrown…
Protesting a “friendly” game. Really?!!!!
Wash always tries to protest games. They did one last year too I believe.
What about the coverage of the softball transbay series?
Can’t be out to every game on every day, especially when the game is over the bridge…
