Football: Stuart Hall 26, Pinewood 22

Trailing 22-20 late in the fourth quarter, Stuart Hall senior quarterback Laboyd Ricard connected with Junior Matt McCrum for a 40-yard touchdown pass to put the Knights (2-0) up for good.

Pinewood (0-1) drove down to the Stuart Hall 2-yard line on the next drive, but fumbled the ball, and Stuart Hall senior Nathan Rosenblum recovered the loose ball to seal the victory.

Ricard had 270 total yards and all four touchdowns (three rushing, one passing) for the Knights, while battling leg cramps in the fourth quarter.

Leading the defense was senior Alex Asadorian, who had a team high 14 tackles, and junior Rodney McKinney, who had six sacks.

Boys Soccer: International 5, College Prep 0

The Jaguars (4-2) extended their winning streak to four games behind another standout performance from senior forward Kai Leshne, who tallied three goals against the Cougars (0-3).

International’s Lucas Harrell also scored a goal in the win.

Boys Soccer: Urban 3, Waldorf 1

The Blues (5-0-1) extended their unbeaten non-league run by opening up a 3-0 lead by scoring two goals (from Seth Rosner and Gabe Kaufman) in a five minute span in the second half.

Waldorf (0-2) added a goal in the 70th minute, but could not cut into he Urban lead any further.

Boys Soccer: Drew 3, Bay 0

The Dragons (3-2) got two goals from senior Scout Anziano and another from junior Marcus Mason (his fifth of the year).

Drew goalkeeper Justeen Li recorded the shutout, and the Dragons held an opponent scoreless for the third time this season.

  2. You were there a little bit last year but Jbalan when are you going to do a story on Stuart Hall Football this year theyre looking like theyre on the road to an undefeated season from the way its looking?
