Prep Wrapup: Jordan boys soccer storms back to beat Wallenberg

Boys Soccer: Jordan 6, Wallenberg 2

Behind a hat trick from Jimmy Gonzolez, the Jaguars (2-5) erased a 2-0 Wallenberg (0-6) halftime lead with six unanswered goals in the second half.

Carlos Perez, Mark Estaban and Carlos Saldana also scored goals in the second-half surge.

Girls Tennis: University 4, Convent 1

The Red Devils (7-5, 2-0) swept all three singles matches with wins by Katrina Allick (6-2, 6-1), Maddie Brown (6-0, 6-2) and Lydia Lee (6-2, 6-2), and also got a doubles win from the team of Molly Feldstein and Jenny Bloomquist (6-3, 6-2).

Girls Volleyball: Jewish Community 3, Mid-Peninsula 0

Florencia Hasson led the Wolves with 11 kills and sophomore Paige Lerman notched six aces, as the Wolves (6-2, 4-0) remained undefeated in Private School Athletic League play with a 25-21, 25-14, 25-16 win over the Dragons (2-1).

Boys Soccer: Lincoln 5, Marshall 0

The Mustangs (6-0) got goals from five different players to further solidify their spot at the top of the Academic Athletic Association’s Y Division, while keeping the Phoenix (0-6) winless.

Lincoln’s goals came from Felipe Herrera, Antonio Rodriguez, Breddyn Martinez, Carlos Lara and Nelson Vasquez.

Girls Tennis: Drew 4, Balboa 1

The Dragons (4-2) swept the Bucs in all three singles matches with wins from Laeesha Cornejo (6-1, 6-1), Talia Storey-Cuddeback (6-0, 6-1) and Camille Marcon (4-6, 6-2, 6-2).

Drew also got a win in doubles play from the team of Katie Bettini and Kelsey Ferguson (6-2, 3-6, 6-1).

Balboa’s lone win came in doubles, with Patty Im and Karen Chen coming out on top (6-2, 6-3).
