Boys Soccer: University 1, Marin Academy 0
On a goal from Jack Wilson in the 78th minute, the Red Devils (8-2-3, 4-0-2) shocked the six-time North Coast Section champions in Bay Counties League West play on Friday at the Crocker Amazon Soccer Fields.
Jesse Beller assisted on the goal, and goalkeeper John Schember kept the slate clean for University’s sixth shutout of the season.
Girls Volleyball: Lick-Wilmerding 3, Drew 1
The Tigers (4-3, 2-1) got a team-high nine kills from sophomore outside hitter Jade Sparks and another eight from junior middle blocker Annie Wilson, but it was a solid performance from the Lick defense that proved to be critical in the final game.
Lick had 16 digs in the final game and had nearly 40 total digs in the match.
Boys Soccer: Drew 3, Urban 2
Drew senior Brice Lockard had the first two-goal game of his high school career to give the Dragons an edge over the Blues.
Lockard’s second goal, off a cross from Brandon Naraghi in the 69th minute, gave the Dragons a 2-1 lead that they would not relinquish. Drew captain Julian Faro-White scored in the 75th minute to put the game out of reach.
