Prep Wrapup: Lowell boys soccer continues AAA dominance
Prep Wrapup is our new feature where we will hopefully provide a broad overview of the previous day’s action. Coaches, to contribute to the Prep Wrapup, please send scores and details the night of the game/event to email@example.com or call our scores line at (415) 251-0918.
Boys Soccer: Lowell 4, Washington 0
The Cardinals (13-0) got two goals from senior forward Jesus Sanchez and limited Washington (8-3-2) to just one shot on target to extend their Academic Athletic Association winning streak to 31. Fellow seniors Max Pollard and Cameron BaSaing also scored goals for the Cardinals.
With Balboa earning a 5-0 win over International Studies Academy on Thursday, the loss drops Washington four points behind the Buccaneers for the final playoff spot in the AAA’s X Division.
Boys Soccer: SFI 1, Marshall 0
It may have been close, but it’s three points all the same.
The Huskies (7-3-3) also kept pace in the X Division on the strength of a lone goal from Rogelio Belloso.
The loss was Marshall’s (1-11) ninth scoreless game of the season, but was a great improvement over their first matchup against SFI this season, a 7-0 loss on Aug. 25.
