  1. The Balboa/Piedmont game and the Washington/Piedmont Hills game are going to be “statement” games for both Balboa and Washington. Piedmont only has one loss on the year and has beaten all City schools they’ve faced thus far. Piedmont Hills is the defending BVAL Mt. Hamilton league Champions (co-champions with Leigh HS) as well as the BVAL Tourney champions. Good luck to both Bal and Wash. Both of you can do it!!!!!

  2. Burton Pumas Boys- 56
    Palma Chieftains- 69

Burton had a hard time containing Palma’s 6’6″ shooting guard, who finished with 35 points(19 of 28 team total at half)

Another game where Burton ran out of gas. Down by 5 with 4 minutes remaining, Keep fighting Pumas.

  3. I wonder what’s taking so long of tonight’s scoreboard being updated?

  4. Paul – Not sure if this is still an issue, but Jeremy said he was in So. Cal for some family emergency (he posted in a previous article). Perhaps that was the issue though it seems the scoreboard is updated now.

    • Don’t worry Don L. I know the facts already. I’m one of the contributors of SanFranPreps.com BTW.

  5. Skippers killed it last night. No competition there.

    • Wallenberg is in a bit of a down cycle recently. They got some players but numbers have been down. Coach Krystina Lee had to play with 7 or 8 players last season (I think grades were an issue) and I think she’s a little short handed against this season.

Fortunately, Coach Lee is a pretty dedicated coach and I think she’ll ride this out and get Wallenberg back on the right track.

      • If grades are an issue, Coach Lee, as is probably already being done, needs to start in the classroom first. It’s understandable when you have a low roster number due to injuries. You can’t control getting injured (to some extent). Grades, however, is something you can control. Having a low roster number due to poor grades is unacceptable, and this is no fault of Coach Lee. Players need to remember that they are STUDENT-athletes, not athlete-students.

Coach Lee is dedicated and that is a very valuable characteristic to have. I hope they get back on track.

  6. Las Lomas (Walnut Creek) def. Marshall in non-league girls hoops this past Tuesday 61-37.
