International girls play Lomira out of WI for Championship. Game started at 12.

    • jbalan says:

Thank you. Pretty sure it’s not a championship game, though. They lost their first game and are not in the championship bracket.

JB – It was the championship bracket. International played in the top division of the tournament. Even though they lost their first game (to the defending Ky state champions), the way that bracket worked, they stayed in that bracket, won the next game and then lost in the championship to Lomira.

Well, heard a a lot of Lincoln basketball so I decided to drive over the bay to see what this team is all about. I was kind of disappointed to see that they lost. They have a great guard but he can not shoot of the dribble. They have two great big man that cannot get the rebounds. Maybe I am being a little harsh here but I only speak what I saw today. Maybe they were tired but their first half was too many turnover. To be a good team and play up to your par, everyone has to play as one. Down by 10 at the half to an average team, you can do better than that. I really like their 2 guard but he pick up the dribble to soon and doesnt like shooting of the dribble. Lincoln is a very fast team, make them play your tempo. And defense win games period.

    SHCP Cactus Jam update:

SHCP 67-46 over El Toro HS. Congrats to the boys and coaches for winning the 2011 Cactus Jam!

  5. Pablo says:

SH are playing at a very high level, the team they beat last night to win Cactus Jam was 13 and 1 coming into that game, congrats to the boys and Coach Barber. I am looking forward to a huge year for all 3 City teams in WCAL, Mitty might be the favorites but they will definitively get nothing soft or easy in town this year. This could be the year that the Irish go all the way to state!

    Go Irish,

  6. Feel The Pain says:

Want to say Congratulations to the Riordan Crusaders for a 9th place finish (tie) at the Lemoore Bash Wrestling Tournament. They sent a small contingent of wrestlers but still finished in the top 10 out of over 43 schools. Tough competition against State caliber wrestlers/teams.

    126. Dante Biagini- 5th place
    145. Zach Contreras- 2nd place
    160. Issam Hamdallah- 8th place
    171. Julian Morrisette- 7th place
    220. Dion Deng- 5th place

Good Luck as you head into WCAL action.
