Boys Basketball: Jewish Community 50, San Francisco Christian 37

The Wolves (8-5, 2-3) got a pair of double-doubles from junior forwards Anthony Gumberg and Michael Kostukovsky to take down the rival Trojans (0-9, 0-5) in Private School Athletic League play on Thursday at Minnie and Lovie Ward Rec Center.

Gumberg had a game-high 19 points and 10 rebounds, and Kostukovsky added 17 points and 10 rebounds in the victory, while senior point guard Grant Fineman chipped in 10 points and seven assists.

Wrestling: Stuart Hall 48, Valley Christian 15

The Knights took down Valley Christian of Dublin on the strength of six pins from Alex Asdourian, Connor Satterfield, Nick Lukito, Colin Shepard, Andrew Corral, and Ivan Balarin. Asdourian has not lost a match since he began wrestling last season.

“The guys have been working hard and it is nice to see that the tangible results of their hard work payoff,” said Stuart Hall head coach Matt Woodard. “For a second-year program, we are light years ahead of where I expected us to be.”
