Playoff Prep Wrapup: University boys basketball advances to championship game

Boys Basketball: University 66, Stuart Hall 52

The top-seeded Red Devils (17-10) opened up a 38-19 lead at the half and carried a 18-point lead into the third quarter, but the closest fourth-seeded Stuart Hall (18-9) got in the fourth quarter was nine points.

University sophomore forward Jack Gale had a game-high 17 points, junior forward Harold Getz added 13 and junior guard Chris Mah chipped in 12. Stuart Hall junior forward Andreas Peritos was the only Knights player to score in double figures with 13 points.

    Why is there not a wrap up about the University girls game? Is it because the coach never sent you anything? Strange, one would think a playoff game is worthy of a mention.

    • You are correct. We didn’t get anything sent in for that game, which is actually not normal.

      The University girls team usually sends something after every game, but might not have due to how late the game went last night.

        It’s too bad that the coach has decided not to do a wrap up for whatever reason, it’s not everyday that your team makes it to the championship game. Congratulations to both University Boys/Girls for making it to the finals. Parents are very proud!!

  2. good effort by the knights. it was a too big hill to climb and without their starting point guard for the season, it was tough. good to see lots of good young fowards in this game
