Prep Wrapup: Riordan baseball moves to 2-0 with non-league win over Washington

Baseball: Riordan 8, Washington 1

Junior outfielders Jorge Navarro and James Cullinane combined for six of the Crusaders’ (2-0) eight hits and senior right-hander Sean Donovan pitched a complete game to beat the visiting Eagles (0-3).

Both outfielders scored a run and and each had a double, while Donovan allowed one earned run, four hits and struck out seven, using just 82 total pitches. Sophomore Zach Dair was one of the lone bright spots for the Eagles, finishing 2-for-3 at the plate.

Boys Golf: Marin Catholic 207, Riordan 222

The Crusaders (0-1) fell in their first nine-hole, non-league match of the season at Harding Park. Anthony Guiterrez shot a team-low 39 to lead Riordan.
