Boys Lacrosse: Bay takes down Drew to win first varsity game in school history

By Jeremy Balan

BERKELEY — Until Tuesday, the Drew School boys lacrosse team had a leg up on fellow first-year program Bay School.

The Dragons won their first varsity game in school history with a 14-3 victory over Bentley on March 14, while Bay lost its first three games of the season.

That all changed with an 18-10 Bay victory over Drew on Tuesday at a rain-soaked Maxwell Family Field on the UC Berkeley campus, giving the Breakers their first varsity win in school history.

By Jeremy Balan

The Galileo Academy baseball team was having enough trouble just making contact at the plate through five innings against Marshall on Monday, let alone getting any hits.

The Lions still held a two-run lead, but their bats came alive in the sixth inning to put the Phoenix away in a 7-2 Academic Athletic Association win at Moscone Recreation Center.
