Boys Golf: Riordan 216, Sacred Heart Cathedral 221

The Crusaders (1-2, 1-1) won their first match of the season against rival Sacred Heart Cathedral (0-3, 0-3) behind a team-low, four-over 40 from junior Yianni Giogonas on the front nine at Harding Park Golf Course.

Riordan senior Anthony Guiterez contributed a five-over 41, sophomore Grayson Sorci shot 44 and junior Kevin Cassidy had a 45.

Boys Tennis: Stuart Hall 3, Bentley 2

The Knights (1-0) won their non-league opener with a sweep of the singles matches.

No. 1 senior Nicola Alvarez won 0-6, 6-4, 10-8, senior Brandon La prevailed 7-6, 6-2 and sophomore Pete Warsinske cruised to a 6-1, 6-2 win.

Boys Golf: Bay 156, Stuart Hall 197

The Breakers got a balanced effort from Connor Mattoon, David Perell and Alec Hampton to take down the Knights.

All three players shot two-over 38s on the front nine at the Presidio Golf Course.
