Baseball: Washington 7, Balboa 0

The Eagles (18-8, 12-0) will head into a final series with fellow undefeated Lowell to decide first place in the Academic Athletic Association’s A Division this week after completing a season sweep of the Bucs (12-7, 8-4) on Monday.

Washington seniors Dane Vande Guchte and Javon Phillips both had multi-hit games and senior starting pitcher Alex Skevos picked up his fifth win of the season.

Girls Soccer: Drew 6, Jewish Community 0

The Dragons (4-9-2) routed the Wolves (2-3-1) in non-league play behind three goals from junior captain Avalon Qian.

Drew junior forward Talia Storey-Cuddeback, senior forward Jessica Elliot and freshman midfielder Veronica McIntire also added goals, and sophomore goalkeeper Amber Vidal recorded her fourth shutout of the season.
