Baseball: Riordan 10, Galileo 0

It may have been a strange time for the Lions (9-11) to schedule a non-league game, one day prior to their first game of the Academic Athletic Association playoffs, but Riordan starting pitcher James Cullinane shut them down with a six-inning, one-hit shutout to collect his first win of the season in just his third start.

After only scoring one run through the first three innings, the Crusaders (12-11) scored three runs in each of the final three to end the game early on the mercy rule. Riordan senior Chirs Trigueiro led the Crusaders offense with a 1-for-3, three-RBI performance at the plate and also scored a run. Cullinane also had two hits and his double was the only extra-base hit for the Crusaders.
