Games of the day – Lowell vs. Washington softball: The two teams will meet in the AAA championship game for the fourth straight year. Either Washington or Lowell has won the last 22 AAA championships. The last AAA softball champion that was not Lowell or Washington was McAteer in 1989. Sacred Heart Cathedral vs. St. Ignatius baseball: Strangely enough, if the Irish had not upset the Wildcats on April 17, St. Ignatius would have the top seed in the WCAL playoffs. Now the rivals will face off again in the first round of the postseason.
