Baseball: Stuart Hall 8, Marin Academy 2

The top-seeded Knights (12-4) moved onto the Bay Counties League West championship game with a win over the Wildcats (4-13), but they saved their ace.

Stuart Hall head coach Eddie Russell chose not to start standout junior pitcher Ben Carrasco and the gamble paid off, as freshman Stephen Everest allowed only a single hit and two unearned runs, while striking out five.

Senior Alex Asdourian drove in three runs with a 2-for-3 performance at the plate and sophomore Gerald Reader drove in two and also went 2-for-3 with a double and a triple.
