Prep Wrapup: Lowell boys soccer wins 45th straight AAA game

Boys Soccer: Lowell 4, Washington 0

The Cardinals (7-0-2, 7-0-0) haven’t been as dominant in Academic Athletic Association play as year’s past, but they keep piling up the victories.

Sophomore Tim Eilers scored two goals, and Alex Ruppert and Will Slotterback added a goal apiece in the shutout of the Eagles (3-5-0, 3-5-0). It was Lowell’s 45th straight win in AAA play.

Girls Volleyball: Alma Heights (Pacifica) 3, Jewish Community 0

The Wolves made the drip down to Fog City tied with Alma Heights for first place in the Private School Athletic League’s North Division, but fell 25-17, 25-20, 25-18.

Jewish Community setter Elana Fogel had three aces and nine digs in the Wolves’ (7-3, 4-1) loss, and Paige Lerman led the offense with eight kills. The Eagles now stand alone at the top of the division with a 5-0 league record.

Boys Soccer: Balboa 3, Wallenberg 2

The Bulldogs (1-6-0, 1-6-0) held a 1-0 lead until the 22nd minute, when the Bucs (3-3-1, 3-3-1) scored three consecutive goals to secure the AAA victory.

Willmer Iraheta, Christopher Garcia and Juan Carlos Abrego scored the goals in a 19-minute span of game time, and Wallenberg added a goal in the 51st minute to cap the game’s scoring.

Boys Soccer: ISA 2, Jordan 2

The Jaguars (3-3-2, 3-1-2) got goals from Jimmy Gonzalez and Juan Contreras to force a tie with the Cobras (3-5-0, 3-5-0).
