Come on refs. Let’s get that running clock going.

  2. TM76 says:

SH takes a hard loss to VC. I say move up 3 of the better JV players to give them some depth and substitutes

    • JJ says:

How do you go from 8-0 at halftime to 43-0 final score?

      • Crusader 88 says:

        Five touchdowns and extra points?

      • Ari Gold says:

Easy. If you are a John Lee coached team that will happen because you kill the desire of 20-25 kids that normally would want to play football but decide not to beause of the coach and his coaching style which translates to a team lacking depth.

      • IC Stars says:

That’s what I’d like to know. SHC just stopped VC after a 94-yard drive and later had the ball with 2:07 left when Peralta fumbled it away. Of course VC scored and I left when they scored again to start the third. They have to get a full roster of players on all levels.

  3. Chris says:

I agree TM76, I have been saying that especially after the O’dowd game…Heck with players injured, you don’t have a lot of room to work with..Bring up the promising JV players now and move a few freshman up to JV’s if you have to. SHC really has to start from scratch for the class of 2017. They have to get at least 55 guys willing to play football at the freshman level just to end up with 44 the next year. You can’t compete for long with a squad of 31 players against squads that regularly have 50+ every year. Do you hear this athletic directors of SHC?? This year’s varsity team has some talent and they play hard, but get some more guys on the team to help out and work hard for the future varsity teams. Give the lads a chance to rest and play. At this point, what would you do as a Coach, should John Lee start working on building the program by bringing more guys up? Surely, he can’t think he can win WCAL games with 31 guys every year.

  4. Paul B. says:

The SHC FB team is not the same w/o Tapel & Miles.

    • IC Stars says:

That’s true enough. Last year’s team would have clobbered these guys.

    • TM76 says:

You can add in a boat load of names, Sua Tuala (absolute monster on defense at the linebacker spot), Yarnway, Sheppard at running back, the list goes on….they need both defense and offense to play hard all four quarters which is tough to do with a the limited number of bodies they have on the varsity team.

  5. Big guy 24 says:

SHC needs a frosh coach who can teach but also have fun, play to win every game. Too many freshmen continue to quit after there frosh year. They are losing too many kids due to coaching, He doesn’t relate to kids well. SHC needs a youthful coach to bring energy and love to the game for the kids. Now SHC varsity only has 28 to 31 kids and thats not good. Rasso is gonna get badley hurt before baseball at this pace. Find a way to keep the kids playing football SHC.. Good luck city schools.

  6. JJ says:

    Serra lost! Yeah!

  7. Lance says:

JJ. Look at you puffig your chest out. Hate to admit it but look forward to the cats beating the Bells in 2 weeks which I hope sets up championship game down in San Mateo.I must admit I was at the game and was surprised Serra was even able to get it to OT. Walsh was gutsy going for 2 but it was same play they used to win down in Atwater.Overall the Bells outplayed Serra.

    • JJ says:

Serra was overrated. I’m glad they lost. Bellarmine has a more classy cheering section. It’s always a good day when the Padres lose.

      • Lance says:

aw JJ . i agree Serra was overrated. I only hope they can get by SHC & VC to set up big game with si. And again, I really hope the cats beat the Bells in 2 weeks. I only hope Serra will be able to keep it close against the mighty catsin November. ……… in a side note, I agree the cheering section was classless from Serra.
