Prep Wrapup: Drew boys soccer makes long trip to Point Arena for shutout win

Boys Soccer: Drew 3, Point Arena 0

The Dragons (8-6-1) made to the three-hour trip north to the beach town in Mendocino County and did all they needed to win in the first half against the Pirates (7-7). Sophomore forward Charlie Boone opened the scoring on an assist from Santiago Martinez in the 25th minute, then Drew went up 2-0 on a goal from Richard Leon off a corner kick in the 28th, and Boone put the game out of reach in the 35th with his second goal, this time on an assist by Marcus Mason.

Girls Volleyball: Jewish Community 3, East Palo Alto (Menlo Park) 0

The Wolves (8-4, 5-2) bounced back from their first two Private School Athletic League North losses with a 25-7, 27-25, 25-20 win over East Palo Alto (0-5, 0-5). Jewish Community senior captain Brooke Rosell had five aces and 10 digs and juniors Paige Lerman and Zoe Morgan-Weinman combined for 14 kills. Lerman also had eight aces and Morgan-Weinman added three blocks.
