Great job to Galileo, such an amazing and exciting game to watch and I’m happy the Lions came up on top in the end, keep it up!
matt bergland scored 17 tonight against stuart hall after dropping 27 on university the other night, with dunks in both games that brought down the house. this lick team has reeled off 5 straight league wins, in the last week beating urban, stuart hall, ma, and university (with bergland leading the way).

Dang, SI girls lost again?!! I thought we beat them by 10 last time??
Well JJ, nothing’s going right for the SI hoops program as of right now.
We’re slipping Pumas. C’mon, we’re better than this. Only the top seven teams makes the playoffs….remember that.
I think SI is avoiding CCS open div they could be aiming for a cake walk
to CCS div 3 championship. Not a bad plan though considering consecutive
Runner up finishes the last 6 years hahaha!!
@Ruckjames, yes, teams in the WCAL lose on purpose. Not that Harrigan’s team played better than SI all night? Speaking about cakewalks in CCS D3 playoffs, that’s what the SH girls did the last two seasons. So basically, you are devaluing their titles with your opinion. Devaluing the team you root for, typical short sighted thinking.
Last 2 seasons CCS SHC were underdogs! They were underdogs when SI swept them in the regular season and again underdogs when they played TN so is that a cake walk? SI is a talent laden program over the 6-7 years but ???? . So there I’m not in any way devaluing anyone or any team . SI girls basketball is a very successful program rich wi talent and skillful players . The last time SI earned a title was like I think 2006 under good coach JB . True , every year is a winning season but every year a big disappointment when it comes to big games why? Lost to VC ,
Lost to SHC which could have been won after sweeping SHC in double digits. Anyway, I may have been harsh in commenting but I’m just trying to wake people up , just good luck to SI girls varsity basketball.
When you lose by three in a league game with no help from your coaches, it shows you have talent. Why can’t we just wake up and realize that some coaches are scared of success? Some coaches can’t adapt to in game situations because the game is just to fast, and some coaches want to reinvent substitution patterns because they feel they are coaching CYO. Why is it that an opposing coach is allowed to yell from the bench when SI girls are shooting free throws but a parent supporting his daughter gets told to be quiet from the AD of his daughters own school? If SI coaches think their kids need to play with more passion maybe they should start coaching that way? Good luck girls, were all praying for you.
