Cross Country: SF runners will flood state championship on Saturday
By Jeremy Balan
With 10 separate teams and 84 individuals from San Francisco high schools running in the CIF Cross Country State Championships at Woodward Park in Fresno on Saturday, the City will be more than well represented across eight divisions.
The University girls team will look to defend it’s 2009 Division V state championship, led by sophomore Jennie Callan and junior Holland Reynolds, who finished fourth and fifth, respectively, in the D-V state race last year.
Lowell, St. Ignatius, Sacred Heart Cathedral and Urban, will be sending both boys and girls teams.
