Girls Basketball: Lick-Wilmerding can’t stop Marin Academy’s frontcourt duo

With a playoff spot on the table, Lick-Wilmerding High School’s girls basketball team simply got outsized and outhustled against visiting Marin Academy on Thursday.
Marin Academy’s pair of 6-footers, Emily Klein and Charlotte Marx, dominated the Tigers in the paint in a 62-46 Bay Counties League West win.

Basketball: After girls team folded, Jordan’s Hall finds a home on boys squad

Entering his first year coaching the Jordan School boys basketball team, Robert Sotelo asked for one thing from his players – commitment.
It’s hard to imagine a player with more of that value than senior guard Franeka Hall.
Hall, a star on the girls basketball team last season who averaged nearly 25 points per game, is now playing for the boys team.
Boys Basketball: Turnovers haunt Riordan in home loss to Serra

So often in so many sports, turnovers and errors are a recipe for disaster.
Archbishop Riordan High School’s boys basketball team outrebounded visiting Serra 32-20 and shot better from the field, but turned the ball over 20 times in a 54-43 West Catholic Athletic League loss on Wednesday.
Girls Soccer: Bettinger and Boureille will continue rivalry at Stanford and Cal

Senior girls soccer players Celeste Boureille and Kate Bettinger have been playing in one of the Bay Area’s most prominent sports rivalries in their respective high school careers and that’s not going to change when the pair enters college next school year.
Boureille, of Sacred Heart Cathedral, signed a letter of intent to commit to Cal on Wednesday, while Bettinger, of City rival St. Ignatius, signed with Stanford on national signing day.
